Here's your chance for world-class ascent training right outside town. This scenic route starts on the valley floor and climbs through park mountainlands to a high point at the western entrance to the park. It will be significantly cooler on top anytime of year. If you like, continue west to the Ranchita store for a victory snack. It's all downhill back to Borrego Springs.
